Travel in Groups of not more than five. Larger groups make a larger mess. If in a large group, walk in a single file on the track rather than abreast to avoid trampling on flowers and ferns.

Leave areas as you found them. Camp, wherever possible, at campsites used by others instead to trying to clear the ground for a new campsite. 

Forest conservation 

Trees are meant to grow, use alternate fuel such as cooking gas, kerosene oil. Be careful with matches. Grass fire causes serious damage. Encourage your guides and porters to follow conservation measures.

Bury biodegradable waste and carry back all non-biodegradable. Bury human waste and toilet paper away from water sources. Avoid using pollutants such as detergents, in streams or springs.
Batteries should not be thrown away, carry back for proper disposal.
